Chinese brush painting relaxation in Chongming Island

Sometimes the setting becomes the greatest inspiration to painting. These two upupas were born during a retreat in Chongming Island, outside Shanghai, in a closed-loop self-sufficient farm with rice ponds, vegetable gardens, fishes and ducks all contributing to a zero-waste biological and biodiverse ecosystem.
